The Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, has commenced a stadium project in his home town, Nnewi, Anambra State. He is also the chairman of Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club in the Nigeria Premier League.
He said the stadium would generate 5000 jobs on completion.
Ubah who stated this in an interview with journalists on Thursday at Nnewi, said the stadium would be the first of its kind in Nigeria.
He said the stadium would be made up of a games village, youth and women development centre, football academy, hotel and 200 capacity residential apartments.
He called on governors in the South-East to embark on aggressive rehabilitation of roads in the area to engender development.
He said he would partner the government of Anambra in the area of sports, women and youth empowerment.
