A former Minister of Aviation who is currently representing Anambra North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Stella Oduah, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress.
This is contained in a statement on Thursday by the National Director, Publicity of the APC, Salisu Dambatta, in Abuja and titled, ‘Senator Stella Oduah dumps PDP, joins APC’.
The statement explained that Oduah was received at a brief ceremony in Abuja by the leadership of the party.
It added that the Senator was admitted into the party by the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, who is also the Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni.
The statement also said the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, and the APC candidate in the November 6 Anambra governorship election 2021 election, Senator Andy Uba were at the occasion.
