The National Working Committee of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday adjusted the timetable for its congresses.
The notice of the adjustment is contained in a statement by the party’s national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, in Abuja.
The statement quoted Mr. Metuh as saying the PDP national convention would still hold on May 21, while ward congress was shifted from April 23 to April 30.
The appeal on ward congress is scheduled for May 2.
The adjusted timetable also shows local government congresses will hold on May 5, while appeal from the congresses would hold on May 7.
The party also fixed its state congresses for May 10, while appeal from the congresses is billed for May 12.
Zonal congresses, according to the adjusted timetable, are fixed for May 14, while zonal appeal will hold on May 17.
It added that the new timetable supersedes the former.
