- Accuses them of collaborating with security agencies in govt’s crackdown
Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has warned South East governors to stop collaborating with security agencies to harass and intimidate its members.
Briefing newsmen yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra State, shortly after the group’s meeting at Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area , Deputy National Director for Information, Chris Mocha alleged that a governor in the region had a meeting with security chiefs and a local vigilance group at the weekend in Awka where he instructed them to begin immediate clampdown on MASSOB members.
Mocha reminded the said governor to be very mindful of international laws on crime against humanity and that he may be listed among persons to be tried at the international court of Justice in Hague, Switzerland even after he might have left office unless he changes his attitude towards MASSOB members.
Meanwhile, MASSOB allayed fresh fears of the regrouping of some northern anti-Igbo elements at Ihiala town, Lokpanta cattle market in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, central mosque near Government House in Owerri, Imo State and another mosque located inside Rojenny Tourist Village, Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area near Onitsha.
