The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has condemned the plan by the Government of Norway to illegally deport pro-Biafran activists in Norway led by Mazi Lotachukwu Okolie (Coordinator, Biafran Group in Norway) who has been detained with Onyedikachi Ani, who married and has a child in Norway, and other pro-Biafran activists.

The government of Norway according to the leader of MASSOB, comrade Uchenna Madu should display diplomatic and International maturity in protecting the persecuted Biafrans or allow them to seek asylum in other country and not aligning with Nigeria to extradite innocent Biafrans.

“Norway and Nigeria have already perfected their plans of deporting them through a chattered Cargo airplane from Belgium that will transport them back to Lagos on 9th of March, 2016,” Madu said.

Madu further said that “the information we have is that the Norwegian Government has struck a deal with Nigerian Immigration in Lagos to accept all of the deportees by bypassing the embassy who knows about their Biafran activism and consider them a threat to Nigeria security which means they will be eliminated on arrival.”

“They want to deport them by force against all danger warnings, even without papers from the embassy, and dump them as they have been doing at the Cargo section of Murtala Muhammed International Airport where no eye will see them. We continue to insist that Biafrans are not Nigerians, so, under International law should not be sent by force back to Nigeria to be tortured and killed like many others.”

MASSOB he said is calling the UN, Amnesty International, European Union and other Human Right organisations to prevail on the government of Turkey not to deport Biafrans residing in their country to Nigeria.

Also, he added that MASSOB expresses joy over President Buhari’s latest and open diplomatic support for the Independent of Palestinian state from Israel. (The Authority)
