The two students of the Nigerian Law School, Agbani, Enugu State Campus abducted by gunmen have been released. Easterner had reported how the students identified as Chukwuemeka and Festus Pedro were abducted around 8pm at Eke market in Agbani community last Wednesday. They were said to have gone to the market area to buy food before they were ambushed by the gunmen. Few days after, the gunmen demanded N50 million as ransom before they would be released from captivity. A source told Easterner that the students were released on Thursday morning after the payment of an unspecified ransom by their family members.
“The Nigerian law school students that were kidnapped some days ago had been released by their abductors early hour of this morning.
“The victims were released after ransom had been paid by their family members. Remember the students were kidnapped on 17th day of August at Eke market, Agbani, Enugu near the campus,” the source told Easterner.
