The Ebonyi State House of Assembly has approved the 2016 budget estimate of N101 billion presented by Governor Dave Umahi on December 10.
The approval followed the presentation of the budget report to the lawmakers by Kingsley Ikoro, the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, during plenary on Thursday.
Also during plenary, the lawmakers confirmed the nomination of the chairman and four members of the state’s Assembly Service Commission.
Those confirmed were Rosaline Obasi-Nwode as Chairman, and former local government Chairmen Chief Ikeuwa Omebe and Nkama Ude as well as a former gubernatorial aspirant, Alloy Ogah. (NAN)
