The Enugu Metro news publication on the crisis at the PDP Nsukka Local Government meeting of Saturday, 9th April 2022 aggressively circulated in various online platforms and medium by Aniekwe Ogbuagu, an unhappy former Commissioner for Information in Enugu State, now turned hangman and political character assassinator for a depraved governorship ambition of an emerging tyrant in Enugu State,  is a reflection of the continued pernicious propaganda by some politicians who have not only lost the confidence of their people, but whom the God’s want to kill, and have thus made mad.

As an indigene of Nsukka Local Government, the attempt to drag the name of our governor into what was a purely local problem between Nsukka and Igbo Eze South local governments can only come from the camp of a sit tight legislator now seeking to be governor of Enugu State by hook or by crook.

He shares same immoral occupancy at the National Assembly, subject matter of the Saturday’s crisis, but, rather than concentrate on his crashing governorship bid, has continued to scratch the bottle in an effort to use the towering gait and image of our governor to aid his broken effort. The reason for the wicked publication is obvious and found on his shared circumstance with the remote cause of the fight at Nsukka PDP meeting of Saturday. They will all fail.

On the crisis at Nsukka Local Government PDP monthly meeting, the signs were there and the tension palpable. The suggestion that Governor Ugwuanyi is in cahoots with anyone to cede the House of Representative to Patrick Asadu to save the governor’s Senatorial seat which is supposedly the turn of Igbo Eze South is both illogical and crass manipulation of facts to suit the writers predetermined end. For the benefit of our people and particularly for my people of Nsukka Local Government, the Senate seat is neither zoned to our Federal Constituency by an agreement of any sort nor micro zoned to Igbo Eze South by precedent.

Nsukka/Igbo Eze South held the Senate for twelve years with Senator Fidelis Okoro, may his soul rest in peace, while Udenu/Igbo Eze North held it for eight years with Senator Ayogu Eze as Senator.  The senate seat moved to Igbo Etiti/ Uzo Uwani with Senator Utazi whose eight years of two terms will conclude in May 2023.

It should rightly be the turn of Udenu/Igbo Eze North federal constituency to produce the next senator since Nsukka and Igbo Eze South have had her 12 years under Senator Okoro of blessed memory. If we risk an extension of this logic, it should be Udenu in that federal constituency that should produce the Senator since Igbo Eze North had it with Senator Ayogu Eze when their Federal constituency first produced a Senator.

If we should travel the path of these misfit commentators, it should rightly return to Uzo Uwani/Igbo Etiti Federal constituency after Udenu/Igbo Eze North to make up the edge Nsukka/Igbo Eze South have over her sister Federal Constituencies in Enugu North Senatorial District.

Mixing up the local politics of Nsukka/Igbo Eze South Federal Constituency with the Senatorial seat which the entire Enugu North Senatorial Zone leadership including the traditional institution, clergy, town unions, elected local and  state officials, trade unions and youths have publicly at different fora offered the governor as a token of appreciation for all he has done for the Zone is an exploration with attendant damnation on both the conspirators and purveyors of this jaundiced publication.  May ale Nsukka have mercy on the merchants of this falsehood and distorted facts.
