President Muhammadu Buhari has admitted receiving SUVs from embattled former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) but not cash.
Dasuki had in his statement to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), said he gave the president $300,000 in cash as well as five SUVs.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, has admitted that his principal received two jeeps from the presidency before his inauguration on May 29, 2015.
Adesina wrote: “After the attack, he (Buhari) got two Land Cruiser SUVs, one armoured, the other not.
“No cash.”
According to him, one of the jeeps is armoured, the other normal which were delivered to Buhari shortly his convoy was attacked in Kaduna by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect.
He said the two Jeeps were Toyota Land Cruiser.
President Buhari, then candidate of the APC in the presidential poll, was attacked in July 2014 by the Boko Haram terrorists on Ali Akilu Road, Kawo, Kaduna.
Dasuki has been charged to court on two different charges bothering on misappropriation, money laundry and abuse of office as the National Security Adviser under President Goodluck Jonathan. (Thewhistler.ng)
