Anambra Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), yesterday, in Awka suspend its three months industrial action over the non-implementation of the Consolidated Judiciary Salary Structure (CONJUSS) by the state government.
Mr Mark Ifezue, the state chairman of the union, announced the suspension in a statement, saying that the union suspended the strike because of the agreement it reached with the state government.
He urged members to resume work tomorrow, saying: “Following the resolution of the industrial dispute between the state branch of the Judiciary Staff union Of Nigeria and the Anambra State Government, we have decided to suspend the strike embarked upon on September 7, 2015.”
Ifezue said that the state government has agreed to pay the judiciary workers their September and October salaries in two installments, instead of thrice as it earlier offered.
He said that the state government has also agreed to look into the implementation of CONJUSS by the third quarter of 2016 when the revenue of the state might have improved. (Daily Trust)
