Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving juicy ministerial portfolios to the South East.
He noted that the President showed the kind gesture despite recording low votes in the region during the last presidential election.
He said that assigning the minister of works to the region was huge.
“In politics, you don’t get what you deserve but what you bargain for with votes,” he said.
Soludo said that given the totality of “votes we[South East] contributed and looking at the ministerial portfolios,” the region “may not have the basis to begin to demand ‘juicy’ portfolios”.
He said, however, that the “president graciously gave us one of our finest and best, one of the few engineers who pioneered concrete pavement as current standard for road construction.”
