Umahi declares South-east will never quit Nigeria as he look in on President Buhari

Dave Umahi announced he was in the State House to remit a prizing letter to Mr. president from the elders of the South-east region, for his fresh active stop-by to Ebonyi.

President Buhari on Tuesday collected Dave Umahi governor of Ebonyi State who paid him a gracias visit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The Easterner has it that the president had earlier paid a two-day working stop by to Ebonyi between May 5 and 6.

During his visit, the president launched some establishments at the University of Medical Sciences, Uburu, 5km dual carriage Airport Road and the airport Presidential Lodge as well as new Government House, Centenary City and reconstructed St. Margaret Umahi International Market complex, Abakaliki. Other initiated projects includes the Aisha Buhari Wife of Governor’s Office Complex, Akanu Ibiam Lodge (the new Governor’s Lodge), Ebonyi House, Muhammadu Buhari Light Tunnel Flyover and Ebonyi Shopping Mall.

The president was also anchored to State Dinner by the Ebonyi State Government, on Thursday night.

Dave Umahi, who voiced to State House pen pals, uttered he was in the State House to convey an appreciation letter to Mr. president from the figureheads of the South-east region, for his recent visit to Ebonyi and by extension the South-east.

“I made a stop at the Villa to see the President and issue a thank you letter from South-east leaders, which shows their deepest appreciation for the visit of the President on the two-day working visit to Ebonyi, by extension South-east.

“I thought it wise to do this as quickly as possible, our people (Ebonyians) are very happy with the President and very appreciative of all the rewards of that visit,” he said.

The governor also stated that president Buhari was delighted with the letter and the kind of reception he had received from the people and government of Ebonyi when he visited the state.
