Former President-General of Isuaniocha community in Awka-North local government area of Anambra state, Chief Tony Onyeagolum has advised Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to be mindful of the characters and calibre of persons he appoints into his government following the appointment of one Chief Cosmos Okonkwo as Security Adviser whom he said has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police.

Onyeagolum who stated this while speaking with journalists in Awka, said the essence of his advice to the governor was to avoid employing people with questionable backgrounds who may put a cog in his wheel of leadership and governance.

According to Onyeagolum, the recent appointment of Chief Cosmos Okonkwo as Special Adviser to the governor on Security matters despite the fact that he had been declared wanted by the Nigerian Police cast doubt on the general belief that the new administration meant well for the people.

Chief Onyeagolum said such personality alongside others who were declared wanted for causing atrocities in Isuaniocha was not in the best interest of the people for them to be giving appointments on security matters when their crimes and actions were still being investigated by the police.

The former P G said the administration of former governor Willie Obiano had set up a panel to investigate the remote cause of the incessant crisis in Isuaniocha and wandered why persons identified as key players in the matter would become advisers to governor Soludo on security which is the major bone of contention.
