Some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains in Anambra State are seeking a probe of documents submitted by a former minister of aviation, Stella Oduah, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

They argued that Oduah ought not to be the party’s choice for Anambra North Senatorial district should discrepancies be found in the documents.
Speaking under the aegis of Concerned Anambra North Peoples Democratic Party Stakeholders, they petitioned the PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu to demand Oduah’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.

Should Oduah fail to do produce same, they said, she should be disqualified from participating in the party’s primary for Anambra North Senatorial election.

Oduah, in August 2021, defected from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), but returned to the PDP eight months later, on April 28, 2022.

The stakeholders are demanding that the PDP screening panel subject Oduah to strict documentary proof of all her claims on primary school attendance, certificate and the NYSC.
