Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has approved the increment of salaries in the civil service system.
The Governor also ordered the recruitment of 1,454 civil servants to fill up vacant positions.
Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Jude Okpor disclosed this while briefing journalists on the outcome of this week’s executive council meeting.
Okpor said the council with Nwifuru as its Chairman ordered that N10,000 be added into every worker’s salary in the State to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
He disclosed that the council set up a committee to look into communal crises across the State with a view to resolving them.
