Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has called for the release of his colleague Chiwetalu Agu who was detained by the Nigerian Army for allegedly soliciting support for the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra.
In a post via his official Instagram handle, the actor called for the release of “victims of conscience” including embattled IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu; as well as Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho.
He wrote, “Release all victims of cosnscience immediately. Your belief is you. Your ideology is you. Tyranny never pays. Dialogue is golden. Release Sunday Igboho, release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. immediately. The world is watching & history never forgets (sic).”

Agu’s arrest caused public outcry after a video of him being taken away by men of the Nigerian Army went viral on social media.
As of the time of this publication, The PUNCH reports that the actor was still being questioned and yet to be released.
