Simon Ekpa, a disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to the remarks made by some prominent Nigerians defending Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, despite links to an alleged international fraudster.

Ekpa said the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, should pay attention to politicians and dignitaries defending Kyari.

FBI had linked Kyari to a suspected internet fraudster, Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi.

The US agency had linked Kyari to Hushpuppi in a deal worth over $1 million.

FBI had claimed that Hushpuppi bribed an errant member of his gang during the prosecution of the fraudulent deal.

Following the allegation, some Nigerians had thrown their weight behind the police officer referred to as “Super Cop.”

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, had faulted the allegation linking Kyari to Hushpuppi.

Fani-Kayode had described Kyari as a Super Cop.

Reacting, Ekpa said the US should use this case to understand that Nigeria breeds criminals.

In a tweet, Ekpa wrote: “I urge @FBI to pay serious attention to Nigeria dignitaries, politicians defending and urging Nigeria Government to resist the transfer of Abba Kyari to America to face the charges of cybercrime and fraud. The FBI should now understand that Nigeria breeds criminals, the need for Biafra.”
