Kanu speaks for the first time since detention, condemns insecurity in SE

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has addressed his people for the first time since he was extradited and detained in DSS custody.

The IPOB leader who was appalled by the incessant killings and destruction which has overwhelmed the South East urged the South Easterners to be calm.

Kanu stated that he wants peace to return to ‘Biafraland’.

The IPOB leader emphasised the goal of IPOB which is to defend the South-Easterners and not to kill them. He added that for that reason, he is in DSS custody.

Kanu said, “I want our people to be very very calm. I want Biafraland to be calm and peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them. That’s why I’m here. And we will continue to do so, until we get victory.”
