Popular activist, Aisha Yesufu, has applauded Imo residents for implementing the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) following the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari in the state.
Amid tight security, President Buhari arrived Imo on Thursday wearing Igbo attire.
Following Buhari’s arrival, the streets, banks, schools were deserted by residents of the state.
Reacting to compliance in the state, Aisha Yesufu noted that sit-at-home order appears to be an effective weapon when strategically deployed.
Yesufu, co-convener of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, advocacy group said the empty streets will hit Buhari real hard.
On her Twitter page, she wrote: “Buhari talked about the 1967 treatment sometime ago and today he got the 2021 treatment. With Buhari’s crave for attention, pomp and fanfare, the empty streets will hit him real hard.
“Sit At Home order is an effective weapon that can be deployed strategically and today it was!”
Aisha also mocked the president for his Igbo outfit which got Nigerians talking.
“If there is one thing Buhari is competent at doing and has competently done in his 6 years in office, it is modelling!
“This tailor must be so terrible that he has not been able to competently handle the only competent thing he knows how to do,” her tweet read.
