Shops, markets, filling stations and sundry commercial activities in Imo State, on Monday, suffered another setback as residents remained indoors following a sit-at-home order by IPOB.
Vehicles, tricycles and okada riders were also off the roads just as schools, banks, state civil service secretariat were placed under lock and key.
The situation was much more disturbing within the Owerri Capital City and its environs where roads and streets were converted into football fields by idle youths.
Armed mobile policemen and those of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were on hand to forestall any possible breakdown of law and order.
The headquarters of the 27 council areas of the state were also shut down.
