Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has charged youths in communities where there are ongoing road projects to protect the contractors and their equipment as that would facilitate early completion of the projects in record time.
The governor defied the rainfall while flagging-off the construction of the Amano-Mbaukwu Eoad in Obingwa Local Government Area where he called on the youths of the area to provide security for the road construction workers and assured that the road would be solidly constructed.
Governor Ikpeazu had earlier commissioned the Ntigha-Umuopara – Amano Phase 1 Eoad as part of his Kinetic Abia project inspection and commissioning programme and assured that the road would improve the economy of the people of the area.
He also promised that the whole of the Ring Road being constructed around the area will get to Itu community.
