I write more heartbreak songs than love songs, says Yemi Alade

Multiple award-winning singer, Yemi Alade, has stated that she keeps writing more heartbreak songs than love songs.

The songstress made this revelation via her verified Instagram page on Thursday, as she also announced her next performance.

Sharing pictures of herself, the Dancina crooner said, “I keep writing more heart break songs than love songs. I’ll focus on getting ready to perform for The Royal Family in London then back to Houston for #yemialadeMafia on November 7th.”

Yemi Alade has been billed to perform at the first-ever ‘Earthshot’ prize awards at the Alexandra Palace alongside other international superstar singers like Ed Sheehan, Coldplay and Shawn Mendez.

The event, which will be televised on the 17th of October, is organised by the Royal Foundation and spearheaded by Prince William. The ceremony recognises inventive solutions to the environmental problems facing the planet.

During the event, five scientists will be announced as winners of a £1 million funding prize that will allow them to continue and progress their vital work, which has the potential to help repair our struggling planet.

The five winners of the ‘Earthshot prize’ will be announced by a star-studded line-up of presenters, consisting of the Duchess of Cambridge; athlete, Mo Salah; as well as actors Emma Thompson, Emma Watson, David Oyelowo.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian music diva and afrobeats superstar, Yemi Alade, has just concluded her ‘Empress’ American tour performing in cities such as New York, Washington DC, North Adams, Las Vegas and Houston, Texas.

In a recent interview, granted on the Sunday brunch in the United Kingdom, the Johnny singer said that Nigerian music and musicians have now become the toast of the world with the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, among others topping charts and selling out concerts around the world.
