Nigeria’s former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has advised Nigerians to hold the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) for anything that may happen to Christians and churches in Sokoto State.
Sokoto State had plunged into chaos on Saturday after a protest turned violent.
The protesters had demanded the release of the suspected killers of a student, Deborah Yakubu, who was lynched over alleged blasphemy.
A 24-hour curfew has been imposed by the governor, Aminu Tambuwal.
However, there are reports that churches were been torched by rioters.
Reacting the former presidential candidate took to Twitter to declare that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Buhari, should be blamed for the brewing carnage.
