Two unidentified persons have been killed while many others were injured by gunmen at a petrol station in Anambra State.
The incident happened at Nnokwa, Idemilil South council at the weekend as some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) continued to threaten residents over Monday sit-at-home order.
The Nation learnt that the gunmen shot dead the manager of the station and his friend, while many others around were wounded
Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu said the command had not received any such report, but a police source confirmed the attack.
IPOB members continued to threaten traders, workers and shop owners in the state about their sit-at-home order.
“We’re monitoring you people and we have seen that you derive joy in flouting our orders, and you are going to pay for it. You think we’re joking with Monday sit-at-home. We’re not going to warn you again,” one of their threat-notes said.
Before now, the Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful, had issued statements, warning some miscreants to desist from harassing and intimidating the public on Mondays.
