Gunmen attacked some soldiers in Awo Mmamma, Oru East LG Imo State and killed a military officer.
Following this incident, Military men stormed the town and allegedly burnt a hotel, cars, houses and shops.
It was gathered that many indigenes of the community have fled as soldiers took over the community.
Meanwhile, the state police spokesperson Micheal Abattam, is yet to confirm this report.
