The Enugu state Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Peter Mba has disclosed that the state economy will be private sector driven, if he wins to become the administrator of the state in the 2923 election.

Mba has also unveiled his running mate as Mr. Ifeanyi Ossai, a lawyer from Ezimo in Udenu local government area of the state.

In a meeting with newsmen in Enugu, on Sunday, Mba said that it was his projection to grow the state economy from $4 billion to $30 billion with the private sector playing greater role in the economic development of the state.

He stated that Oil and other solid mineral deposits were in large quantities in the state and hopes to harnesses them to grow the economy.

Mba noted that Enugu state has been a dominant PDP state since 1999, hence the state has produced cohesive super political structure which has produced respected and strong political leaders that the state should be proud of instead distancing from them.

He stated that it was not wrong to incorporate the programmes of co-aspirants who could not emerge as candidates and cited the example of Bennie Sanders of the Democratic Party whose programmes were adopted by the Jeo Biden administration in United States of America.
