A new year resolution is a promise you make to your yourself to start doing something good or stop doing something bad from the first day of the year. It is important to note that few persons from Enugu State who were still in doubt of Dr Peter Mbah’s ambitious blueprint have finally made a resounding 2023 resolution to vote for the PDP gubernatorial candidate come March 11. this year. They have carefully seen what stands Mbah out from the rest of the pretenders and contenders in the guber race.

So, those who argue that the PDP gubernatorial candidate is making too many unachievable promises to the people of Enugu State considering the extreme fall in allocations from Abuja have finally taken note of how Mbah’s mind works. A careful look at his well-detailed manifesto, which not only outlines his plans, but how to achieve them, will clearly show that he downplayed, and hardly mentioned, let alone relied on the Federation Account. He is focused on government-enabled, private sector-driven transformation. He is focused on migrating Enugu State from a public sector driven economy to a private sector driven economy.

They have looked at his antecedents and accomplishments in the private sector where he built Pinnacle Oil and Gas Ltd from scratch. Here was a startup with a N1 million capital base that commenced active operations in 2008 from a one-room studio apartment in Lagos State, and within 14 years rose to the pole position as the market leader in the Nigerian downstream petroleum industry. That company not only controls 23% of the market today but is ahead of multinational conglomerate such as Texaco, Conoil, Mobil, and other majors. Pinnacle Oil and Gas Ltd’s net worth is now in excess of one billion US dollars.

The emergence of Peter Mbah in the race has consequently given succour and hope to the people of Enugu State that an accomplished entrepreneur and public administrator, has thrown his hat in the ring in the contest of the gubernatorial election. The people have seen that Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is an epitome of competence, innovative and disruptive ideas made for critical times like this when the economy and security of the region and country is nosediving. His disposition, character and values with his resilient and astounding dreams, goals and visions for Enugu State have continued to radiate in his ongoing town hall meetings across the 68 development centers of Enugu State. Strenuously, he is rebuilding confidence among the people of Enugu that the state will rise better and stronger from the dreadful issues the South-East region is facing at this present moment.

Mbah is a legendary achiever with a track record of goodwill, geniality and benevolence. This is why when Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah assured Ndị Enugu that he will grow the state’s economy exponentially from $4.4billion to $30 billion; when he says he will build over 10,000 km of roads; when he says he will make Enugu the most secure state in the country; when he says he will eradicate poverty and engender agric and agro-allied revolution, we were easily convinced because he is not only well prepared, but also comes with realistic and pragmatic antecedents of doing things radically differently with humongous results.

Few who were uncertain about their support for Dr Mbah because of how the vicious opposition operated at the gutter level spewing out vermin on Mbah who they secretly envy for his prodigious achievements and impacts on his community and humanity at large have seen that all the false allegations about the phantom Ego Ndi Enugu, EFCC, FBI and all that are delusional gibberish heaped on Dr. Peter Mbah to bring him down from the apogee of unblemished greatness which he earned by dint of hard work and tenacity of purpose. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah through the journey of life has always dared to succeed even in the face of mountainous biles from the opposition. From ground zero, he built many profitable and successful businesses with national and global impact.

It is few months to the gubernatorial election and the oppositions have not laid bare their social contact with Ndi Enugu by presenting a manifesto. They are not ready for a new level of issue-based campaign because they have nothing to offer Ndi Enugu besides vociferous propaganda and falsehoods.
What Enugu needs at this time is a progressive and visionary leader with deep connections and clout in the private sector, enabling the influx of investments, thereby addressing the myriad and mutually reinforcing problems of unemployment, poverty, crime and insecurity. Unfortunately, none of these aspirants in other parties comes close to the caliber of the man, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. They are unprepared and lack pedigree and capacity to govern the capital of the Igbo nation both at home and in the diaspora.

Dr Mbah has continuously stated categorically that he shall make agriculture a profitable business that will create jobs for our teeming youths and women, increase productivity five folds, deepen agricultural markets, increase incomes to farmers and revenue contribution to the state; while also turning rural areas and dormant lands into agricultural productivity zones that will drive out insecurity and hunger in the state.

Those who were supporting him ab initio have promised to double their efforts as they have taken the Mbah gospel to the streets, markets, churches, motor parks, abattoirs and other social gatherings to sensitize the people on the accurate ways of voting under the new Electoral Act of technology and BVAS in order to secure maximum votes and deliver Mbah 100% in their respectives polling unit.

The people have come to believe that Mbah will fulfill all his promises and take Enugu State to an enviable height; they have known that it is not just mere political rhetoric. That is why they have made a strong new year resolution to Vote overwhelming for Mbah as their trusted candidate for the upcoming 2023 gubernatorial election.
