Nigeria’s Labour Party (LP) has announced former presidential spokesperson, Doyin Okupe, as the Vice Presidential candidate to the party’s flag bearer Peter Obi, but in a placeholder capacity to beat the Friday deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Okupe was Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Olusegun Obasanjo and also served as the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan.
